Give Ozarks

Give Ozarks, the 24-hour online giving day held last week, raised $1,212,647 as of midnight for more than 240 nonprofits across the region.

The amount of money displayed on the Give Ozarks site (giveozarks.org) is the preliminary total. Agencies could submit any money raised during Tuesday’s Give Ozarks events and activities by Thursday; that money, and final cumulative prizes, will be added Friday morning and then the final total will be posted and announced.

TCMH Healthcare Foundation raised about $12,218 and Houston Education Foundation generated $2,036.

The event was hosted by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks with presenting sponsor, BKD. This year’s preliminary total exceeds the final tally from 2016, which was $1,185,806, a news release said. This year’s giving day accomplished its main priorities of providing an opportunity for online fundraising for the CFO’s nonprofit partners while raising awareness and celebrating the important roles of nonprofits and generous donors in serving our communities.
