The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•A deputy was dispatched at about 4:20 p.m. April 30 regarding a report of a man who had cut himself at a Brown Hill Road residence at Houston.
The man, 25, told the officer he had accidentally cut himself on a truck bumper. He was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 7:30 p.m. April 29 regarding a report of a vehicle being tampered with at a Country Aire Lane trailer park at Cabool.
The officer made contact with a 37-year-old woman there who said someone had attempted to break into her car because the alarm was going off and the dome light was on. No damage was reported and nothing was reported missing. There are no suspects.
•A deputy was dispatched April 27 to the Licking Police Department to speak with a woman about her truck being stolen.
The woman, 48, told the officer her 1994 Chevrolet pickup was at a man’s Baxter Road residence at Licking and he was supposed to be fixing its engine but had been taking too long. She said she contacted the man to get the truck back, but that he said she wouldn’t be getting it back and he would shoot her if she came to his house.
The woman said she had a roll-back wrecker truck lined up and requested that officers go with her to retrieve her vehicle. Two deputies accompanied her on the mission, and the truck was retrieved.
The man wasn’t home, so a business card was left for him to contact the sheriff’s department for an explantation.
