•A deputy responded to a woman’s request to check the well-being of a friend at her Clary Road residence at Mountain Grove, stating that the friend had let a man with an extensive criminal history stay with her and was supposed to have told him to leave the previous day. The officer went there and made contact with the woman and she said she was fine and her friend was overreacting.
•A woman called June 1 to report pigs on her Boiling Springs Road property at Success, and that she didn’t know where they had come from. When an investigating officer arrived, the woman told him the pigs’ owner had already picked them up.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 10 p.m. May 30 regarding a report of a break-in at a Sylvia Lane residence at Houston.
A 22-year-old woman who lives there told the officer a man wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt came into her home, entered the bathroom where she was showering, grabbed her hand and then ran away. The woman said she thought the suspect had been bitten by her pit bull.
The deputy searched the area but didn’t locate the suspect.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 7 p.m. May 30 regarding a report of a domestic dispute at a Boiling Springs Road residence at Licking.
The officer made contact with a 44-year-old woman who lives there and two witnesses who all said a 46-year-old man had been trying to run over the woman with a van. After an investigation, the man was arrested and taken to jail pending formal charges.
The woman was also reportedly arrested and taken to jail because she had two active warrants.
•A deputy on May 6 responded to an anonymous call indicating a large amount of methamphetamine was inside a home on Forrest Drive in Houston.
The officer made contact with a 41-year-old woman who is a tenant at the residence and she told the officer there were no drugs in the house and the officer was welcome to search. During a search, the officer located 14 plastic bags of meth inside a picture frame sitting on a nightstand next to a bed.
The tenant said it wasn’t hers and named a man who must have planted it there, and said the man was likely sent there by another man who had been arrested a few days earlier. The meth was seized as evidence.
