The Texas County Food Pantry is seeking a new executive director.
Tanya Pacheco, who has held the post since February 2016, submitted her resignation recently to accept a position with a new unit of the Houston Herald. She will work with the new pantry director as part of the transition.
“I cannot tell you how grateful I am to the amazing board of the pantry and my employees and volunteers,” Pacheco said. “But sometimes you have to make a decision that is best for you, your health and your family. This is that decision for me. I’m sad to walk away, but grateful for the opportunities it has afforded me to love and care for the people of Texas County and beyond.”
At the Herald, Pacheco will be the lead catalyst of Rocket Digital, a digital advertising agency that will provide websites, social media and advertising services to businesses. Its offices are next to the newspaper.
