Authorities are investigating a shooting Wednesday night near Licking, authorities said.
Police Chief Scott Lindsey said his department was called at about 9:10 p.m. at the TCMH ambulance base, where a man in his 20s was reported with two gunshots to the abdomen.
After arriving, the Licking officer determined the incident occurred east of the Licking city limits.
A medical helicopter was called for the injured man.
The Texas County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.Â
