The Houston Area Chamber of Commerce will continue a busy 2017 schedule with several activities Friday and Saturday at the fairgrounds on North U.S. 63.

A swap meet and indoor/outdoor yard sale is set for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Vendors are being sought for a fee of $15 per day.

On Saturday, a car and bike show is scheduled. There is an entry fee of $20, with registration beginning at 8 a.m. and the show running from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (to accommodate a show in Roby at 3 p.m.).

The first 25 cars and 10 bikes registered earn a T-shirt and dash plaque. There will be trophies for winners, door prizes and a raffle for a Yeti cooler.

Then on Saturday evening, a horse pull will take place in the newly refurbished arena. Miniature ponies will pull first at 5 p.m, followed by haflingers at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person.

Food and drinks will be available both days and there will be a raffle for a Yeti cooler.
