Nineteen children participated Friday in the Summersville branch of the Texas County Library’s “Build Your Own Sundae” event.

It was a kickoff for the 2017 “Build A Better World” summer reading program that will end July 2 with an awards lunch and party.

Activities at Summersville branch will be held every Monday and Friday at 1 throughout the program. Scheduled activities include robotics, musical instruments, planting marigolds, decorating bird house and making bird feeders, and more. There’s no charge for any activity, and all children are welcome to participate.
