The City of Houston said Monday a U.S. 63 sidewalk project is slated to begin Aug. 14.
A delay resulted because the contractor is waiting for storm drain boxes and grates to be manufactured and delivered.
MoDOT had earlier said the work would begin Monday.
The site includes southbound U.S. 63 from First Street to just north of Holder Drive and West Highway 17 from U.S. 63 to Dooley Street.
Maggi Construction of Rolla won the $386,182 bid. The City of Houston will pay about 20 percent of the outlay under a MoDOT program.
