Revenue from half-cent sales taxes was up in the latest monthly distribution. 

Sales tax revenue received during the latest monthly distribution in Texas County was up about 22 percent, according to the Missouri Department of Revenue.

Three half-cent sales taxes collected by county merchants totaled about $106,205 each. That’s an increase of about $19,100 on each.

For the first six monthes of the year, the three taxes have generated about $531,300 each. That’s down about $3,600 on each.

The funds are used for debt repayment for the justice center, maintenance and general county operations.
