Oakwood Golf Club hosted its annual Junior golf Tournament on Wednesday of last week, with 20 kids participating in the searing heat.
Professional golfer Bruce Fleisher was once again on hand and conducted two free golf clinics for player of all ages, one on short game technique and another on irons.
During his career, Fleisher, 68, won numerous tournaments around the world, including the 1991 New England Classic on the regular PGA Tour and 18 events on the PGA’s Champions Tour (for players age 50 and over). He met Oakwood owner Bud Evans about 27 years ago and the two have been friends ever since.
