The Licking Fire Department was called around 4 p.m. Sunday for a structure fire at 305 Walker.
It rekindled at about 5:40 p.m. A Licking police officer reported the home was fully engulfed.
The Raymondville Fire Department was called to assist before it spread to an adjacent house.
The City of Houston and Houston Rural departments were also dispatched to the scene.
The blaze was east of the Licking Pentecostal Holiness Church. Authorities said the next door house sustained damage to some siding.
The American Red Cross was also called to assist.
