Texas County’s unemployment rate dropped in June, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development. The figure was 5.2 percent, a decrease of four-tenths of a percentage point from May.
In south-central Missouri, the average rate was 5.1 percent.
Texas County’s civilian labor force was 9,342 with 484 unemployed.
Area counties and their unemployment rates were Douglas, 4.7; Howell, 5; Shannon, 6.1; and Wright, 4.5.
