A Houston man is held on million bond following his arrest on child pornography charges, authorities said.

A cyber crimes task force investigation led to the arrest Wednesday of a Houston man on pornography charges, authorities said.

Wesley W. Norris, 39, 8164 Morton Road in Houston, was charged Thursday with the felonies of possession of child pornography and first-degree promotion of child pornography.

According to the probable cause statement, a search warrant was requested and obtained Wednesday by the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force (SWMCCTF) for Norris’s residence in Houston following an investigation.

Upon arrival, contact was made with Norris. During the execution of the search warrant, numerous electronic storage devices were located as well as computers, the report states.

An on-scene forensic search was conducted on a computer hard drive found in an office style room. Nineteen video files of child pornography were found on the hard drive, most depicting female children between the ages of 5 to 9 years old engaged in explicit sex acts with adult males.

Officers with the task force interviewed Norris and he admitted to knowingly possessing the files. He told officers there were several hundred more video files located on an external drive, the statement reads. It was taken to the computer forensic lab for analysis, and Norris was placed under arrest.
