Dr. Dennis Lancaster, dean of academic affairs, welcomes freshman Eden Williams (of Summersville) to her first day of classes Monday at Missouri State University-West Plains. Several faculty and staff members manned doorways to the campus’ main classroom buildings on the first day to welcome students and give them information about upcoming events as part of Operation Smile.
