A U.S. 63 paving project includes a portion of northern Texas County.

A 25-mile stretch of U.S. 63 beginning in northern Texas County will be resurfaced beginning next week.

The Missouri Department of Transportation said work is from Highway CC to the southern city limits of Rolla. One lane will be open with flaggers and a pilot car guiding traffic through the work zone.

The project is scheduled for completion by Oct. 1.

Message boards will be in place to alert motorists of the work. Drivers are asked to use caution when driving through work zones.

Also next week, Highway MM will be reduced to one lane for maintenance on the bridge over U.S. 60 between Cabool and Mountain Grove. Work began Monday and will continue from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily through Sept. 22.

U.S. 60 below the bridge will also be reduced to one lane during the project.
