A Summersville man was injured Tuesday morning in a Highway 17 crash about three miles north of Summersville.
Tpr. Curtis Haden said a northbound 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Shawn L. Robinson, 30, ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a fence and tree. Robinson fell asleep before the crash.
Robinson, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
The vehicle had extensive damage.
