The Houston High School volleyball team picked up its fifth victory of the season – and second conference win – Tuesday night at Thayer.
Sophomore Janae Huff had six kills and Chloe Hunninghake had 10 assists in the Lady Tigers’ 25-19, 25-21 win.
“We’ve had some different lineups the last few games due to injury and sickness, but the girls have done a great job adjusting,” HHS coach Loran Richardson said. “Our goal is to use this momentum to take us into districts.”
Melody Buse had a team-high 11 digs for Houston (5-22, 2-5 South Central Association). Sevanna Rowland had three aces.
The Lady Tigers conclude their regular season Thursday at Winona. They face Cabool at 4 p.m. Monday in the opening round of districts.
