A tribute to veterans is Friday at Hiett Gymnasium on the Houston School District campus.
Houston Mayor Don Tottingham is the speaker at the event, which runs from 1-2 p.m.
Following the assembly, a reception with refreshments is in the north lobby.
Area veterans are invited to attend the 18th annual tribune and the reception in their honor. Â
