A motor vehicle accident involved a trailer-truck unit was reported Monday morning on Highway 17 south of Summersville.
The trailer, which was loaded with sawdust, was reported on fire and spreading to woods when the Summersville Fire Department was called to assist Mountain View.
Tpr. Jason Sentman said the northbound 1996 Peterbilt driven by James A. Stewart, 52, of Summersville, experienced a mechanical issue, crossed the center of the roadway and overturned.
The accident was north of the Jacks Fork Bridge.
Also assisting were the U.S. Park Service and U.S. Park Service Fire Department.
