Share Your Christmas — the annual campaign that helps deserving children in Texas County — made an appeal this week for good used clothing of all sizes.

Organizers said coats are especially needed, along with toys, shoes and household items.

Angel Tree

Share Your Christmas “Angel Trees” are set up at locations in Houston. Hanging from the trees are needs for the program. 

At the beginning of the week, applications had been received for 149 children. The deadline to apply is Friday (Dec. 8).

People wishing to help can get tips of gift needs for cases from Angel Trees established at Houston Walmart Supercenter, Forbes Pharmacy, Houston Sonic, Simply Posh Day Spa and Demi Grace Salon.

The campaign operates from the basement of the Houston Lions Club Den on North U.S. 63. Hours are 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Several businesses and organizations made donations during the past week, including North Side Baptist Church, Peace Chapel Church, Progressive Ozark Bank employees, Route 63 Car Club and Ozark Baptist Church, Ladies Quilt Ministry.

Cases 11-15

Case 11. A 10-year-old boy’s Christmas wish is a Nerf gun or a remote control car. He needs size 12 jeans, size 14/16 shirts and size 6 shoes.

Case 12. Two girls, ages 10 and 4, are hoping to get a Barbie doll and a baby doll with a stroller for Christmas this year. Clothing needs are size 5 tops and pants, and size 12 shoes for the 4 year old. The 10-year-old girl needs size 14/16 pants and tops and size 6 shoes. They also need warm hats and gloves.

Case 13. Size 3T winter clothing and size 7 toddler shoes and socks are needed for this little 3-year- old boy. He likes toys that play music and books.

Case 14. Three sisters, ages 11, 7 and 6, are all in need of clothing. Size 12 pants and tops, and size 5 shoes are needed for the older girl and she enjoys crafts that involve sewing or art supplies. The two younger girls wear the same size, 7-8 pants and tops and size 2 shoes. They like books and dolls. All three girls need socks and underwear.

Case 15. Blankets are on the list of needs for all three of these children. A 10-year-old girl needs size 10 pants, 12-14 tops and size 6 shoes. The 12-year-old boy wears size 12 jeans, 14 shirt and size 6 shoes. Size small men’s shirts, 28×30 jeans and size 10 men’s shoes are needed for the 14-year-old boy. They’ve only asked for clothing, socks, underwear and blankets.
