The annual Christmas parade in downtown Houston is set for Saturday, Dec. 9.

The annual Christmas parade hosted by the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 9.

Chamber executive director Angie Quinlan said people can sign up by calling the chamber office at 417-967-2220, or by going to the chamber headquarters in the Houston Visitor Centers (at U.S. 63 and Walnut Street) and filling out a form. The parade starts at 2 p.m. and line up begins at 1 p.m. in the high school parking lot.

Quinlan said this year’s grand marshal is long-time Houston businessman Edgar Rust. The event’s theme is “Christmas Songs.”
