Ty McCloud scored 14 of his game-high 18 points in the second half as the Houston Tigers beat Alton 56-46 Wednesday morning in the consolation bracket of the Cabool Holiday Tournament.

HHS (3-6) faces Cuba at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Clayton Moore scored 15 points and hit three of the Tigers’ seven 3-pointers. Paydon Dixon added a pair of triples and eight points before fouling out.

Houston, which lost to Alton 58-50 a week earlier, led by two at the half before pulling away.
