Share Your Christmas — the annual holiday campaign that helps children in Texas County — reports a great community response, but some items are still needed.

Donations of all size clothing, toys and household items are accepted in the Houston Lions Club basement on North U.S. 63 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“We are still much in need of new or gently used children’s clothing and coats,” said organizer Pat Miller.

Applications for assistance were received for about 205 children from 78 families. The deadline for applications was last Friday (Dec. 8).

Persons wishing to help can find lists of desired items on “Angel Trees” at the Houston Walmart Supercenter, Forbes Pharmacy, Simply Posh Day Spa, Houston Sonic and Demi Grace Salon.

Call 417-217-1318 for additional information. Send monetary donations to Share Your Christmas, P.O. Box 170, Houston, Mo. 65483.
