The City of Houston has a new utility clerk.
Carrie Lycke began duties Monday at Houston City Hall. She replaces Heather Sponsler, who was elevated to city clerk last week.
Lycke is from Anaheim, Calif. She attended San Jacinto College in California and College of Southern Nevada in Henderson, Nev. She is married to Russell Lycke from Licking.
Lycke has worked for the Department of Family Services in Las Vegas for the past five years.
City Administrator Tina Bowen said she previously worked for Ed Green Realty and Intercounty Electric Cooperative Association, both at Licking.
