INVESTIGATIONS

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:

•A deputy responded at about 10:20 p.m. Dec. 19 after a 55-year-old man at a Pipeline Road residence at Summersville had reported that neighbors had been shooting guns on their own property and he wanted it to stop.

The officer made contact with the man and he said the neighbors had been “shooting all night” and if something wasn’t done about it he would be going to the neighbor’s house and “taking care of it.” The deputy advised the man he couldn’t be making threats against the neighbors and the man said he wasn’t.

The officer attempted to make contact with the neighbors but was unsuccessful.

•A deputy was dispatched at about 8:30 p.m. Dec. 18 regarding a report of a prowler at a Kelly Street residence at Raymondville.

The officer made contact with a woman there who said she had dropped off a pair of teenagers (ages 16 and 17) at their residence and received a phone call from them a short time later indicating someone was banging on the front door and side of the house. The officer was unable to locate a suspect.

•Multiple deputies have been involved in an investigation regarding several incidents of gasoline allegedly being stolen from the tank at the Plato Schools bus barn, beginning during the Thanksgiving break.

Plato Schools officials stated that surveillance video showed a dark-colored Chevrolet pickup and a maroon Chevrolet Suburban that were believed to be suspects’ vehicles. There is a suspect. Investigation continues.
