Texas County Prosecutor Parke Stevens Jr. is seeking the forfeiture of about $2,000 believed to be gained by drug activity.

The money was seized from a Houston man, Thomas L. Stanton, 250 Forest Drive, as part of an investigation by the Licking Police Department.

Stevens filed documents Jan. 12 asking the property be transferred under the state’s Criminal Activity Forfeiture Act.

During a Jan. 5 traffic stop, Licking police seized the money believed to from the sale of illegal drugs, according to a petition.
