Houston Schools is dismissing at 1:30 p.m. Thursday as inclement weather moves into the region.
The district announced the news shortly before 11:30 a.m. on its Facebook page. Dr. Allen Moss, superintendent, also contacted the Herald.
Moss said Success and Raymondville will also be releasing early.
“With the approaching cold front and the National Weather Service saying the front is moving at or a little quicker that expected, the Houston R-1 School District will release at 1:30 pm today,” the district wrote.Â
Plato Schools is dismissing at 12:45 p.m. The school board meeting and all athletic practices were canceled.
Licking Schools is dismissing at 1 p.m.
