Sales tax revenue was up slightly in Houston last year, reports the Missouri Department of Revenue.
The tally was from a one-cent sales tax was $738,304, which was up $5,177 from 2016.
Merchants also collect two quarter-cent sales taxes for streets, sidewalks and utility work. For the year, each contributed about $180,000, which was up about $1,450.Â
