Sales tax revenue reported in Houston in 2017 was up slightly.

Sales tax revenue was up slightly in Houston last year, reports the Missouri Department of Revenue.

The tally was from a one-cent sales tax was $738,304, which was up $5,177 from 2016.

Merchants also collect two quarter-cent sales taxes for streets, sidewalks and utility work. For the year, each contributed about $180,000, which was up about $1,450.
