Pastor Russ Stigall of First Baptist Church in Houston is the featured speaker for the 2018 Houston High School baccalaureate service.

Stigall will address this year’s graduating class and those attending the annual service at 6 p.m. Sunday inside Hiett Gymnasium. The annual service is hosted by the Houston Ministerial Alliance.

Stigall became the lead pastor at FBC in early 2015 from New Jamestown Road Baptist Church in the St. Louis area. A graduate of University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Stigall later finished his seminary education at Midwestern Baptist Seminary, receiving his master of divinity degree in 1987. Since then, he was a church planter/missionary with the North American Mission Board and pastored Baptist Churches in Kansas, Colorado and Missouri.

Stigall is a board member of the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce and Bright Futures Houston. He is the vice president of the ministerial alliance.

Graduation is 4 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the HHS football field.
