The Houston baseball team is still winless in the South Central Association after losing 15-3 on the road last Thursday to Mountain Grove.

The Tigers are 0-5 in conference play and 5-11 overall.

Seniors Ty McCloud and Gavin Alston had the lone hits in the defeat. Alston, Sterling Jackson and Devin Wallender drove in runs.

HHS scored the game’s first run on Jackson’s RBI groundout in the top of the first inning. Alex Castleman, who walked and stole a base, scored on a wild pitch in the second to make it 2-0.

The Tigers were down 4-3 until Mountain Grove scored 11 times in the fourth to put the game out of reach.
