The Houston Middle School softball team’s rally from a three-run deficit fell short Tuesday as the Lady Tigers lost 4-3 at Mansfield.

Katie Chipps had two of Houston’s four hits and scored twice. Mackenzie Bryan tripled and scored a run.

Aliayah Walker struck out two, walked three and allowed one hit in the loss.

Behind 4-1, Houston scored twice in the top of the seventh. Chipps singled and scored and Bryan tripled before scoring.

It was the first loss of the season for the Lady Tigers, who are playing their inaugural season. They fell to 2-1.
