An inmate died Friday at the South Central Correctional Center at Licking, authorities said.
James Hurtt, 68, was serving a 70-year sentence for first-degree assault, armed criminal action and delivery of cocaine from Jasper County. He had been in prison since September 1990.
An autopsy will be conducted.
