The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating two employees of the Texas County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Jeff Kinder said Friday afternoon the investigation is ongoing and being conducted by the agency’s Division of Drug and Crime Control. He did not release the names of the employees under investigation.
“Upon completion of the investigation, all reports will be forwarded to the proper prosecuting attorney,” Kinder said.
Kinder said the investigation began at the request of Texas County Prosecuting Attorney Parke Stevens Jr., who said he is prohibited from commenting.
