The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Joann A. Stokes, 40, of 115 S. Oak Crest in Houston, was issued a citation on March 12 for failure to abate nuisance after allegedly leaving trash in her yard after being warned March 6.
A neighbor man had complained that he frequently had to pick up trash in his yard from Stokes’ property. An officer had contacted Stokes March 6 and told her she had a week to clean things up, and she reported said she understood.
•Shawn Greer, 34, of 614 N. Second St. in Houston, was cited for failure to yield after a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 63 and Holder Drive at about 10:05 a.m. March 30.
•Leah J. Otte, 17, of 8274 Fisher Drive in Houston, was issued a citation for failure to yield after a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 63 and Highway 17 at about 8:45 a.m. March 30.
•Sarah E. Crawford, 39, of 13711 Union Road at Cabool, was issued a citation for stealing under $750 after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart on March 15.
•Carol C. Dale, 65, of Houston, was cited on March 23 for allegedly passing a school bus while it was loading and unloading on First Street at the Optimist Club Day Care building at about 3:30 p.m.
•A 27-year-old Willow Springs woman reported on March 30 that $280 had been stolen from her wallet.
The woman told an investigating officer she had parked her car at about 11 a.m. at Aaron’s on U.S. 63 and had left her wallet inside with the door unlocked. She said she went into the store and an adjacent bank and then returned to her car to find the money missing.
Surveillance video from local businesses was viewed but didn’t help.
•Michael W. Malota, 29, of 6352 Barry Lane in Houston, was arrested at about 10:15 p.m. March 25 for having two active Texas County warrants for driving while revoked.
An officer who was aware of the warrants made the arrest after observing Malota in the parking lot at Casey’s. He was taken to the Texas County Jail, where he posted $1,000 bond and was released.
•Regina Y. Breedlove, 50, of 10606 Highway 17 at Success, was issued tickets on March 15 for careless and imprudent driving, failure to drive on right half of roadway and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle displaying lights and sounding siren after a traffic stop at about 9:45 p.m. on U.S. 63.
•Andrea D. Morgan, 31, of 8925 Camco Drive at Plato, was cited for failure to yield after a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 63 at the Walmart parking lot entrance at about 11:20 a.m. March 13.
