The Raymondville Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual chili supper and gun raffle this Saturday in the community building at the Raymondville Fairgrounds.
Raymondville FD Chief Mike Jackson said the event will begin at 6 p.m. and donations will be collected for meals (including chili, hot dogs and desert). Raffle tickets are $10 apiece and are available in advance from fire department personnel.
The gun given away this weekend will be a Remington 870 Super Mag shotgun, just in time for turkey hunting season. All tickets purchased will also be good toward three other prizes to be presented Saturday, June 16 on the final night of the annual Raymondville Carnival and Picnic: A Remington 7 Predator 22/250 rifle, a Smith and Wesson 586 .357 magnum pistol and a $250 Walmart gift card.
