Sales tax revenue was down in Houston during the last monthly distribution.

Sales tax revenue in Texas County is up about 6.9 percent in the first quarter of the year compared to the same period in 2017, reports the Missouri Department of Revenue.

The latest monthly tally was $88,089 for each of three half-cent sales taxes, which was up $1,196 each from the same period last year. For the year, $279,328 has been collected on each. That’s up about $18,164 on each.
