Houston seventh-grader Aliyah Walker threw a no-hitter and struck out 12 batters as the Houston Middle School softball team bounced back from its first loss with a 4-0 shutout of Summersville on the road Thursday.
Walker recorded 12 of her team’s 15 outs via strikeouts in the complete-game win.
Katie Jo Chipps had two hits for the Houston offense. Hannah Dzurick, Mackenzie Bryan, Ashleigh Loman and Walker had one hit apiece.
