Amos Wesley Westfall, 82, son of Isaac and Alma Westfall, was born Jan. 22, 1936, in Texas County. He passed away May 20, 2018, at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston, Mo.

Amos was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles Westfall; wife, Wanda Westfall; and one grandchild.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Birdie Ramsey; daughter, Janet Robbins and husband, Norman, of Houston, Mo.; daughter, Linda Pendergrass of St. Joseph, Mo.; grandchildren, Shasta Robbins and fiancé of Rolla, Mo., Brandi Gabel and husband, Kelly, of Houston, Mo., Kara Pendergrass of St. Joseph, Mo., and Conrad Pendergrass of St. Joseph, Mo.; sister, Carrie Pierce and husband, Bill, of Cabool, Mo.; seven great-grandchildren and one due in the fall; a niece; and several nephews.

Amos attended school until eighth grade and went to several schools, with his most talked about one being Plum Valley.

He married Wanda Sicko in Mississippi in 1958, and to this union two daughters were born.

He later met Birdie Ramsey in 1983. They were together until the Lord called his name on May 20, 2018.

Amos loved working outside. He loved raising livestock and gardens. He also enjoyed making his homemade molasses. He loved music and learning how to play every instrument he could.

Amos loved his family and friends dearly. Anyone who knew Amos knew how much he enjoyed talking to everyone about his life and his families.

Amos was an amazing father, grandfather, husband and friend. He impacted so many lives around him, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Evans Funeral Home. Services are 10 a.m. Friday May 25, 2018, at Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. George Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Dykes Cemetery under the directions of Evans Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Steve Pierce, Vince Pierce, Kelly Gabel, Jason Ramsey, Greg Westfall and Andrew Pierce.

The family respectfully suggests that donations be made to the Amos Westfall Memorial Fund c/o Evans Funeral Home in lieu of floral arrangements.
