Houston's Trenton Smith returns the ball during an early-season home match. 

The Houston tennis team cruised to its eighth win of the season Tuesday by blanking Licking at home.

The Tigers dropped just four games in the 76 played in the matchup. HHS improved to 8-4 on the season.

Three players – Isaiah Buse, Trenton Smith, Kyle Mills – won their singles matches with 8-0 shutouts. Kyler Ramsey, Grady Todd and Elliot Clark were 8-1 winners.

In doubles play, Buse and Ramsey as well as Todd and Smith won 8-0. The team of Clark and Clayton Moore were victorious 8-1.
