An early Sunday morning stop in Texas County resulted in drug charges against two Springfield residents.
Stephanie A. Smith, 44, is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less marijuana – methamphetamine; felony unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia – methamphetamine. She was taken to the Texas County Jail and later released, the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Jeri L. Peters, 46, is charged with misdemeanor possession of 10 grams or less – marijuana. She was cited and released, the patrol said.
