LORIN TRICK

A West Plains woman accused of having relations late last year with a resident at the Gentry Residential Treatment Center in Cabool has pled guilty.

Online court records show Lorin Trick, 23, pled guilty May 22 to a class E felony charge of sexual contact with a prisoner while employed at the correctional facility for boys. A second felony charge of sexual contact with a student was dropped at the hearing.

According to a Cabool Police Department report, a Missouri Out-of-Home investigator on Dec. 19 requested an officer meet her at the Gentry facility regarding a hotline call she was following up on indicating a female worker at the facility had oral sex with one of the students. The call had reportedly been placed after two students told a staff member they had witnessed the incident take place in a dorm room.

Trick was fired from the facility on Dec. 21.

A sentencing hearing is set for July 17 in Texas County.
