Landmark Bank employee Leanza Bell is doused by water during a game at the organization’s annual Kid’s Fest in Houston. The bank hosted games and activities for Houston and Raymondville elementary schools.

For the 10th year, Landmark Bank celebrated the end of school with its annual Kid’s Fest for area students. More than 500 students from Houston and Raymondville elementary schools participated.

This year’s event –– held May 9 and 10 at the Houston High School football field –– consisted of three large inflatable obstacle courses with slides and a water dump game in which kids threw a ball at a target in hopes of dumping a bucket of water on teachers and bank staff.

“This event is just one small way Landmark Bank gives back to our local communities,” said Landmark Bank Houston President Eric Wells. “These kids have come to look forward to this event each year, and it brings our bankers such joy to see the smiles on the kid’s faces. We also wouldn’t be able to pull this event off without the support and help from the wonderful staff at both schools.”

Each school staff member is provided a gift each year as a way of saying thank you for all the hard work they put in throughout the school year, Wells said.  This year’s gift was a cushioned stadium seat.
