Candidates in contested races that will appear on the Aug. 7 ballot filed campaign finance reports with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
The deadline to file was Monday. Candidates are required to present another report eight days before the election.
Three persons are seeking the Republican nomination for presiding commissioner: Glen McKinney, Houston; Scott Long, Cabool; and Bill Villapiano, Houston. Two are running for county clerk: incumbent Laura Crowley and Brenda Jarrett.
