The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•A deputy responded on July 15 to a report that a 46-year-old man was trespassing at a Kelly Road residence at Raymondville. Nobody was there when the officer arrived.
•A 76-year-old woman called July 15 to report that her 13-year-old granddaughter had run away from her Sand Shoals Road residence at Bucyrus.
The woman told an investigating officer the girl might have gone to Springfield or to a residence in the Houston area. The woman also stated the girl had recently been in a lot of trouble, and her mother brought her to her house to maybe stay out of trouble. Department of Family Services was contacted about the case.
On July 16, the missing girl was reportedly located at Walmart in Houston and turned over to a county juvenile officer. The investigating deputy contacted the grandmother, and she stated the girl had been released back into her custody.
•A Licking man on July 15 requested a well-being check of his juvenile son at his Reed Road residence.
A responding deputy made contact with the boy, who said he just spoken to his father on the phone. The boy said he was fine, and that he had just awakened from a nap and had been playing with his baby brother all day.
