Douglas Wainwright Turner and Helen Jolene Turner passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018.
He was born Jan. 15, 1943, in St. Louis, son of Euclid Vern and Edith Marie Sutton-Turner. She was born Oct. 28, 1945, in Kimble, daughter of Tom and Thelma Irine Hall-Gale. They were married on July 11, 1964, in Beulah.
He retired from sawing lumber at Blankenship’s Sawmill. He enjoyed working on old pickups, hunting, attending car shows with his son-in-law, Rick Sullins, and creating treasures for those he loved.
She retired after 35 years from Rawlings Sporting Goods. She enjoyed spending time in her flowers, going junking and making crafts.
He was a caregiver to many family members and friends. She volunteered at the Licking United Community Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Euclid and Lee Turner; and a sister, Lavonne Gilliam.
Survivors include their two childen, Douglas Dewayne Turner and Tammy Marie Sullins, both of Licking; a brother, Joe Turner; and two sisters, Carol Turner and Linda and Danny South.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Denny Gale; and a sister, Velma Hardester.
Survivors include four brothers, Tom Gale, Mike Gale, Sam Gale and Benjamin Gale; and five sisters, Christine Karnes, Rosetta Ingle, Sharon James, Dorothy Bates and Donetta James.
Services are noon Wednesday, July 18, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Everett Perkins officiating.
