As of midnight Friday, Texas County Sheriff Rowdy Douglas said his department’s dispatch center is “up and running in full swing again.”
Douglas had announced earlier in the week that the public should call 911 when needing his department as he rebuilt the dispatch staff. On Friday, he said calls can again be directed to 417-967-4165.
“It has been a lengthy process to get everything back in order,” said Douglas, who was sworn in as interim sheriff Tuesday morning. “I want to thank the great employees we have for making the process quick. I also want to send thanks to Susan, Terra, Barb and the rest of the Texas County 911 team for helping us out and dispatching for us. Their team is top notch.
