A Cabool man entered a plea Thursday to five counts of stealing in Texas County Circuit Court.
Ken L. Polm, 48, was charged earlier with the offenses, which were alleged to have occurred in  March 2017.
Polm entered an Alford plea, which means he does not admit to the criminal act and asserts innocence. In entering an Alford plea, the defendant admits that the evidence presented by the prosecution would be likely to persuade a judge or jury to find the him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
Circuit Judge William Hickle ordered a pre-sentencing investigation before a Nov. 6 sentencing date.
