The Houston Police Department handled several investigations in the last week.

•A 68-year-old man came to the Houston police station on Aug. 15 to report that three teenage males had swiped three packages of Chips Ahoy cookies from his 94-year-old father as he was exiting Walmart on Aug. 11.

Police officers observed security video and determined the incident had not taken place and that the alleged victim had not been at Walmart at the reported time and date.
