Shirley Ann Hoth, 83, passed away Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
She was born March 22, 1935, in St. Louis, daughter of Bill and Hazel Obermueller Holliday. She and Erwin Hoth were married July 5, 1952.
After running a business in St. Louis, they bought property in the Ellis Prairie community and began building homes. Later on a friendship with Clydie and Bud Evans led to a business in the sewing industry. She enjoyed the time with what she called her “girls.”
In 2006, she moved with her son to the Marshfield area, where she lived until her death.
She enjoyed flowers and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Erwin.
She is survived by a son, Mike Hoth of Marshfield; a daughter, Christy Hoth of Mountain Grove; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were Monday, Aug. 13, at Evans Funeral Home with Durwin Kicker officiating. Burial was in Ellis Prairie Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Ellis Prairie Cemetery in lieu of flowers.
