Texas County’s unemployment figure increased in July, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The rate was 4.8 percent, which was an increase of four-tenths of percentage point from June.
Other counties and their unemployment rates: Douglas, 4.3; Howell, 4.5; Shannon, 5.4; and Wright, 4.7.
The average rate in south-central Missouri was 5 percent.
